Vestibular Rehabilitation & Balance Therapy — Boca Raton & Boynton Beach

At Florida Movement Therapy we treat dizziness, vertigo, balance loss and motion sensitivity with specialized vestibular rehabilitation (VRT). Our licensed physical and occupational therapists use evidence-based testing and individualized exercise programs to reduce symptoms, improve gaze stability and lower fall risk so you can get back to everyday life. Our Boca Raton and Boynton Beach clinics offer on-site and in-home options.

What is Vestibular Therapy?

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) is a specialized, exercise-based program that helps reduce dizziness, improve balance, and retrain your brain to adapt when the inner ear isn’t working properly. It’s commonly used for vertigo, BPPV, post-concussion dizziness, vestibular neuritis, and other balance disorders.

Through targeted exercises and repositioning maneuvers, vestibular therapy restores stability, sharpens visual focus, and lowers fall risk — helping you return to daily life with more confidence and less fear of dizziness.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

  • Comprehensive Evaluation – Your therapist will review your history, dizziness triggers, and complete balance and eye-movement testing.

  • Individualized Treatment Plan – From canalith repositioning (Epley maneuvers) to gaze stabilization and balance retraining, your plan is designed for your specific needs.

  • Hands-On, One-on-One Care – Every session is 1:1 with your therapist, ensuring focused attention and guidance.

  • Clear Next Steps – You’ll leave with home exercises, education on managing symptoms, and a roadmap for steady improvement.

VRT is a personalized program of exercises and maneuvers that retrains the brain and inner ear to reduce dizziness, improve balance, and prevent falls.

Common diagnoses include BPPV (vertigo), vestibular neuritis, vestibular migraine, post-concussion dizziness, and age-related balance issues.

Treatment length varies. Some patients improve after just a few visits, while others may need several weeks of progressive therapy.

Most major insurance plans, including Medicare, cover vestibular therapy when medically necessary. Our team will verify your benefits before you begin.

Every session is one-on-one, tailored to your needs, and delivered by therapists experienced in vestibular rehab at our Boca Raton and Boynton Beach clinics.
